Approach and Fees

The approach I use is simple and easy to manage. As the design is pragmatic, it shouldn’t feel like a chore to implement and should slot easily into any writer’s routine. The process is spit into two key exercises; Audit and Strategy

The audit exercise was developed in partnership with Lisa Goll, owner of London Writers’ Cafe. Through a non-intrusive interview that seeks to explore you, the writer, and your works, we have come up with a clear matrix that is flexible, and yet able to report clearly, on all the areas in which you can benefit from developing further. The audit exercise will allow you and me to develop a cohesive report together.

After the audit exercise, I recommend that there is a one to two-week break before the strategy exercise. This time allows you to consider any new concepts that have arisen in the audit exercise, and to consider any others that may have been missed.

The strategy exercise was developed from an amalgamation of various project management strategies, research into writers’ habits, and developments in internet marketing. In this session, we will work with the matrix report to develop promotional strategies, using only the marketing and promotional platforms that you are comfortable with. To accompany the strategies that we’ll come up with, you will also receive ‘Tip Sheets’ for managing your own strategy going forward.

Following the strategy exercise, there is a follow-up session after two to four weeks, to look at how you have been managing so far. This will be the sign-off session that should put you firmly in the driving seat for your own strategy going forward.

After the sessions, I will still be at hand for any queries or help as you progress. If you require further follow-up sessions, these can be booked, as necessary. You will also be kept up-to-date with any tips and information through my client-exclusive newsletters.
